John Prescott's stint as presenter on Have I Got News For You wasn't very popular with Paul Merton , if you believe the Daily Express. The panel show stalwart didn't approve of the guest host, according to a "friend", so unusually kept his mouth shut for much of the programme: "Paul wasn't that comfortable with the idea as he knew the show would end up being very politically charged with Ian Hislop at Prescott's throat.
