Zach Leonard quits News International

Zach Leonard, a former senior executive at ft.com and digital media publisher of Times Newspapers, has left News International after just over four years. Leonard, who joined News International from Accenture in 2006 , spent three years overseeing commercial development of the Times Online website including mobile phone downloads and podcasts. Since May last year he has been running News International's digital graduate recruitment business, Milkround. At the Financial Times he co-founded FTMarketWatch before becoming chief operating officer for ft.com, which went against the trend by charging subscribers access to many of its features. A spokeswoman for News International said that Leonard had left the company as part of a restructure of the commercial team. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
