Offer now expired: Get toe tapping with Shoes at the Peacock Theatre
Shoes , written by Richard Thomas (co-creator of Jerry Springer – the Opera) and directed by Stephen Mear (Sweet Charity, Mary Poppins), is a marvellous celebration of our enduring obsession with footwear. Featuring crash-test dummies trying to walk in high heels and nuns singing an ode to their favourite designer brands, Shoes takes you on an hilarious journey from the lows of the Croc to the highs of the platform boot. The 30 catchy musical numbers also include the lyrical hip hop piece Sneaker Addict and Imelda Argues with the Nation, where the wife of the former president of the Philippines defends her famous collection of 3000 pairs of shoes. Extra members can get 50% off top price tickets to see the show. (normally £49.50 and £37.50). The offer runs from 8 February to 20 February (excluding Friday and Saturday shows).
