F1 title deciders, Bruce Lee's ping-pong powers and raining tennis balls

1) It's F1 title decider time so here are some of the most thrilling denouements ever, starting with Nelson Piquet v Alan Jones v Carlos Reutemann at the Caesars Palace GP at Las Vegas in 1981 . Williams pair Jones and Reutemann started on the front row, but ahead of the race, Australian Jones refused to assist his team-mate, saying: "I don't see how I can help him; I would not go holding up people as I am a member of the British Commonwealth and I would consider that unsporting." Jones does win the race but it costs him and Reutemann the championship as Piquet gets the two points he needed from fifth - he had to be pulled from the car and couldn't move for 15 minutes suffering from heat exhaustion. It's also remembered in this Clive James documentary . Beyond that, here is Lauda v Hunt from 1976 (also seen in this Dickie Davies World of Sport season-recap special ), Piquet v Prost in 1983 , Senna v Prost in 1989 , Senna v Prost in 1990 , Schumacher v Hill in 1994 and Schumacher v Villeneuve in 1997 . Oh, and that last lap at Interlagos in 2008 . 2) Ahead of Saturday night's world heavyweight bout: remember when Audley Harrison won Olympic gold ? Or David Haye's most impressive display in the ring ? 3) Our favourite Brazil 1970 clip + trololo = utter majesty . Which mention of Brazil brings us on to our elasticos of the week: first up, Ilsinho leads Roberto Carlos a merry dance ; Jaja Coelho takes Lucas Neill to the cleaners ; and while it's not strictly an elastico , Jay-Emmanuel Thomas reminds us why reserve-team football is still worth watching . 4) This Dirk Kuyt chat with Jim Rosenthal was excrutiating, as was this Raymond Domenech poker/Karate Kid-themed advert , but they have nothing on Lee Corso offering a blind child this handshake on College GameDay. 5) Bruce Lee got game. Serious table tennis game [advert disclaimer]. 6) No one likes a 10-pin bowling show-off , especially when they can pick up spares across two adjacent lanes . Our favourites from last week's blog 1) FC Basel fans didn't take kindly to their kick-off with FC Luzerne being moved to incorporate the Swiss Indorr Tennis Championships on TV. So they did this . 2) What's not to love about penalty hubris ? 3) Cricket's Super Sixes: Australia need 46 to win off one (eight-ball) over. In comes Imran Nazir ... Meanwhile, Abdul Razzaq tees off against South Africa last week. 4) Very cool time-lapse imagery from the recent New York marathon . 5) Andy Irons RIP . 6) And check out this ARL promo ahead of the 1989 season, starring Tina Turner and a lot of shameless men .
