TV ratings: Britain's Got Talent shines for ITV amid BBC dominance
Britain's Got Talent was the most-watched show of the day – and last week – on Saturday, but BBC1 continued to lord over the rest of peak time that evening. The ITV1 talent show attracted 10.589 million viewers and a 42.9% audience share in the 8pm hour on Saturday, 8 May. Another 288,000 watched on ITV1 HD. ITV2's audience for spin-off show Britain's Got More Talent continued to rise , attracting 1.788 million viewers (7.6%) in the 9pm hour – and overtaking ITV1's drama remake The Prisoner (1.575 million/6.7%), broadcast in the same slot, for the first time. Britain's Got More Talent was the most-watched multichannel show of the day.
