Sol Campbell set to play for Arsenal against Porto in Champions League
Sol Campbell is set to play in Arsenal's Champions League last-16 tie at Porto tomorrow, his first appearance in the competition since he scored for the Gunners against Barcelona in the 2006 final. The 35-year-old travelled to Portugal with the squad today. There were, however a number of key first-team players missing through injury, most crucially William Gallas, who has a back injury. That means Campbell is likely to start alongside Thomas Vermaelen in the centre of defence. Also out due to injury are the goalkeeper Manuel Almunia [hand], Alex Song [knee], Andrey Arshavin and Eduardo [both hamstring].
