BBC strategist leaves after inquiry into 6 Music leak

A senior strategist has left the BBC after an investigation into the leaking of the corporation's strategy review that included plans to dump BBC 6 Music. Mark Thompson's wide-ranging review, which also included plans to close the Asian Network, cut back the number of BBC websites and limit expenditure on spending on sports rights, was leaked to The Times . The BBC told The Independent : "We can confirm that an investigation has been satisfactorily concluded and that an individual has now left the BBC." The strategist has not been identified.
