Tender Trap: Dansette Dansette

It may have escaped most people, but we are in the throes of an indie-pop revival. From Brooklyn to, er, Wales, bands such as Los Campesinos! and Vivian Girls are reigniting what was once known as the C86 sound. One of that scene's founders, Amelia Fletcher (Talulah Gosh, Heavenly), has been recording steadily for the past two decades, and this third album from her current outfit, Tender Trap, revives what's best in the genre – Phil Spector drums, girl-group ba-ba-bas and songs that combine nostalgia for teenage pastimes with grown-up wit.
