Mark Ronson & the Business Intl: Record Collection

Having become a byword for 60s pastiche, uber-producer Ronson has leapt forward two decades for his latest solo project, trading swinging retro-soul for robotic electro-pop. But if his influences have changed, his grooves remain as sprightly as ever, bolstered by a winning ensemble of guest vocalists, from rap royalty (Q-Tip) to indie ingenues (ex-Pipette Rose Elinor Dougall). Best of all is "Somebody to Love Me", a torch song featuring Boy George on which he's never sounded so majestic. But the less said about Ronson's vocal contributions, the better.
