Hamlet opens the new Autumn Season at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre . Starring John Simm (Life on Mars, Doctor Who) in the title role, this bold and exciting new production is produced by Sheffield Theatres and runs for only five weeks on the Crucible's famous thrust stage. John Simm is joined by a talented cast which includes John Nettles, Barbara Flynn, Colin Tierney and Michelle Dockery. Sheffield's Crucible reopened in February 2010 following a major redevelopment. Hamlet marks the beginning of Artistic Director Daniel Evans' second season. Hamlet runs from Thursday 16 September to Saturday 23 October.
