Nick Allan to be new head of communications for GNM

Nick Allan, a former associate partner at Portland and press secretary at the British Embassy in Washington, is to be the new head of communications at Guardian News & Media. The new role will cover internal and external PR at GNM, following the departure of head of PR Julie Taylor and with head of internal communications Nicole Dempster leaving later this year.
