Today in Cardiff - Tuesday 2 March
Morning Cardiff. Well after a wonderfully sunny St David's Day let's hope we get some more bright weather today. Lots of city snaps were taken at the St David's Day parade - the BBC published pictures from around the world , here's the offering from Capture Cardiff , a video from yourCardiff here and you can see our Flickr set here . (Did you notice the Google logo change too?) Brains also launched a new beer to commemorate the day - blogged about by Andrew Wilcox here, and Rachael Blogs wrote about why we should celebrate all things Welsh. On the council schedule today, a Public Protection Committee this morning and Children and Young People Committee this afternoon. A number of PACT meetings also take place across Cardiff tonight - Llanrumney, Trowbridge, Llanedeyrn, Radyr and Gabalfa PACT meetings all take place this evening so make sure you visit http://ourbobby.com/ and select your ward to find out the time and location of each meeting - you can also see the meetings on the yourCardiff community calender . A new book club starts tonight - meeting at 8pm at Chapter Arts Centre. For more about the club (which is still looking for a name) follow @jessicabest87 on Twitter. Want to get involved with Ignite Cardiff on Thursday? Organiser Claire Scantlebury has written up a few ways you could help. If you haven't seen it yet, the video preview to A Good Night Out in the Valleys - a production from National Theatre Wales, is well worth a look. A report from Wales Rural Observatory was published yesterday - it looks into what it calls 'deep rural' communities and came up with some interesting statistics, reported by the BBC here .
