Councils seek £25m SAP deal
Haringey and Waltham Forest councils have advertised for a framework contract to deliver an SAP solution valued at between £12m and £25m. In a notice in the Official Journal of the European Union the two London councils say the eight-year deal will cover a wide range of services. They include software development, project management consultancy, system implementation planning and testing consultancy services. Help desk, maintenance and disaster recovery services will all be part of the contract. According to the invitation to tender: "The solution should contain best practice business processes that will maximise the benefits of SAP functionality." The solution has to be based on "typical local government processes", and include as a minimum customer and supplier relationship management, HR, payroll and finance modules. The expected duration is from 2012 to 2018, but it could be extended by a further four years. This article is published by Guardian Professional.
