Six Nations 2011: Nick Easter will captain England against Ireland
Martin Johnson has made one change to his England team for the Six Nations match against Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday. The 6ft 7in Bath centre Matt Banahan replaces the captain, Mike Tindall, who has an ankle injury. The Harlequins No8 Nick Easter will captain the side. Banahan's place on the bench has been filled by the Saracens wing David Strettle, who has not played for England since 2008. The Leicester flanker Tom Croft, who scored a try against Scotland on his return to the squad after injury, is also on the bench. If England beat Ireland they will complete their first grand slam since 2003 – when a team led by Johnson won their final match at the old Lansdowne Road, which the Aviva Stadium has replaced. Unless Wales win heavily in Paris, England will still take the Six Nations title, on points difference, if they lose. England team to play Ireland, Aviva Stadium, Saturday 19 March: B Foden (Sale); C Ashton (Northampton), M Banahan (Bath), S Hape (Bath), M Cueto (Sale); T Flood (Leicester), B Youngs (Leicester); A Corbisiero (London Irish), D Hartley (Northampton), D Cole (Leicester), L Deacon (Leicester), T Palmer (Stade Français), T Wood (Northampton), J Haskell (Stade Français), N Easter (Harlequins, capt). Replacements: S Thompson (Leeds); P Doran-Jones (Gloucester), S Shaw (Wasps), T Croft (Leicester), D Care (Harlequins), J Wilkinson (Toulon), D Strettle (Saracens).
