TV ratings: Ashes to Ashes gains 5m viewers
The penultimate episode of BBC1's time-travel cop drama Ashes to Ashes won the 9pm hour with just over 5 million viewers on Friday, 14 May. Ashes to Ashes, which concludes its third and final series this Friday, was watched by 5.019 million viewers and attracted a 22.1% share on BBC1. The 9pm opposition on Friday included ITV1's Marco's Kitchen Burnout (2.431 million/10.7%), BBC2's How to Live a Simple Life (1.782 million/7.8%) and The Mentalist on Channel Five (1.907 million/8.4%). On Channel 4 in the 9pm hour Embarrassing Bodies: Kids had 2.050 million (9%). Another 270,000 (1.5%) watched on Channel 4+1.
