ABCs: Sunday Herald rise continues

Newsquest's Sunday Herald was the only Scottish newspaper to record a circulation rise of any description in April, up 5.13% year on year, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures released today. It was down month on month, however, by 1.31% to 42,204. Trinity Mirror's Sunday Mail, sister paper to the Daily Record, was the biggest faller in the Scottish market with a 9.86% year-on-year fall in sales to 398,677. On a monthly basis the title saw circulation fall 0.08%. The Sun's Scottish edition sold 344,753 copies per day last month, all but 943 of them at full rate.
