TV ratings: Man United match draws peak of 2.6m

The dramatic injury to Wayne Rooney at the end of Manchester United's Champions League quarter final defeat by Bayern Munich helped coverage of the match attracted a peak of 2.6 million viewers on Sky Sports 2 last night, Tuesday 30 March. Full coverage of United's 2-1 loss to the German side was seen by an average of 1.7 million viewers between 7pm and 10pm, a 7% share. Coverage peaked at 2.6 million in the quarter hour from 9.15pm. The second outing of Sophie Dahl's BBC2 cookery show The Delicious Miss Dahl lost 500,000 viewers, with 1.9 million tuning in to BBC2 at 8.30pm. Last week her cookery show debuted with 2.4 million viewers . It was once again beaten by Channel 4's Supersize versus Superskinny, which attracted 2.2 million people and a 9% share at 8pm. Another 153,000 watched an hour later on Channel 4 +1. At 9pm, the concluding part of the thriller Blood and Oil thriller held its audience, with an average of 2.1 million tuning in to BBC2, a 9% share. At the same time, CSI on Channel Five attracted 2.2 million viewers and a 9% share, while on Channel 4 the final instalment of One Born Every Minute had 2.9 million and 12%. A further 268,000 watched on Channel 4 +1.
