Appearances can be deceptive, a truism that this 21-year-old Swede definitively confirms. With his asymmetrical ginger afro, array of tattoos and east London postcode, Hassle would seem to be the very model of style-mag hipsterdom and yet musically he is cheesier than a Butlins redcoats convention. Imagine the Killers possessed by the spirit of Westlife and you'd be close to defining his brand of wipe-clean power balladry, full of sweeping synths, chiming guitars and PG-rated heartbreak. One only hopes he can harness his undoubtedly soulful voice to more interesting material next time round.
