Lauren Luke's best beauty buys: pastels

RMK Powder Eyes in light blue £16, Selfridges . Lauren says: Creamy texture with a pretty shimmer that would suit all ages and look particularly good on people with brown eyes. ★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk Chantecaille Iridescent eye shade in menthe £21, Harrods . Lauren says: A gorgeous colour with creamy texture, but you will need a couple of layers to build up colour – very sheer pigment. A shade of green to die for. ★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk Sisley Palette Phyto Star Eyes £54.50, 020-7591 6380. Lauren says: Fiddly packaging, but it does fit easily into a handbag and has a nice mirror. Quite difficult to pick up much colour, so definitely a shade for pastel lovers. ★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk Gosh Quattro eye shadow in grand passion £8.32, Superdrug . Lauren says: Pleasing palette with a creamy texture and lovely range of four shades. You can stick to one or mix and blend. Great value for money. ★★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk Rimmel Colour Loose in satin £4.99, available nationwide. Lauren says: Pleasant pink powder that looks lovely in the jar but way too sheer once it’s on the eyelid – disappears in a puff of powder. ★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk Paul & Joe eye color 05 £13.50, Asos . Lauren says: As pretty-looking as you’d expect from Paul & Joe. A lovely shade that gives a hint of colour and subtly lightens the eyelid. ★★★★ Photograph: Sara Morris Photograph: Sara Morris/guardian.co.uk
