Bookmarked: Leeds' lost opportunities revisited

A Leeds blogger is producing a series of posts highlighting some of the city's dilapidated and threatened buildings which originally featured in a report back in 1986. Exploring Leeds blog is running a series of virtual tours around buildings originally highlighted 26 years ago by a group called Save Britain's Heritage in a a report called Leeds - A Lost Opportunity? The report looked at the general situation of Leeds and its architecture in 1986 and highlights 29 buildings that were deemed to be threatened by either neglect or demolition. Exploring Leeds has spent the past few months following up the report from a 2010 perspective - find out more in the post Project: Leeds' Lost Opportunities Revisited . There are further posts on lost opportunities at Leeds Kirkgate Market and the Corn Exchange to kick off the series. Unrelated to the project - but also of interest - is a fascinating post and slideshow on the same blog entitled LS2: The Forgotten High Street Of Leeds . What do you think? Have your say in the comments section below.
