ABCs: Mail on Sunday, Sunday Express and Daily Star Sunday in monthly rise

The Mail on Sunday and Richard Desmond's weekend titles, the Daily Star Sunday and Sunday Express, have reported month-on-month sales increases for August. Last month the Mail on Sunday sold 1,964,945 copies on average each weekend, a 0.53% increase over circulation figures in July but a fall of 2.42% year-on-year, according to Audit Bureau of Circulations figures published today. The Daily Star Sunday saw circulation increase by 3.04% month-on-month to 381,283 copies. However, this was a 4.99% year-on-year fall. Stablemate the Sunday Express increased sales by 1.08% month-on-month in August to 574,872. Year-on-year circulation fell by 11.13%. Publisher Northern & Shell is currently offering Daily Star Sunday readers the £1.30 Sunday Express for 40p if they buy both titles in a voucher promotion. Sunday Express readers are also being offered 10p off the 40p Monday Express in another voucher promotion.
