Signing off for the weekend: Cardiff Mardi Gras and what's on this weekend

What's on this weekend? The Lesbian Gay Bisexual and Transgender Mardi Gras kicks off in Cooper's Field tomorrow. Preparations for the festival were already well underway in Bute Park today. The ethos of Cardiff Mardi Gras is about a community coming together to celebrate diversity and combat hate crime. There'll be an Admiral Cabaret Garden alongside a number of music acts on the main stage. Welsh organic dairy Rachel's will also be bringing a bit of the tranquil Welsh countryside to the occasion with a Welsh harpist outside Queen arcade from 10.30am.
