Signing off: Cardiff Half Marathon

I'm off next week so expect the normal blogging service to resume as of Monday 25 October. Until then – here are a couple of things to look out for in the coming week... What's on next week? Made in Roath will return to Cardiff's art hub this weekend – see our feature on the local talent event here and find out more about it on Made in Roath. On Saturday there will also be an Apple Day held in Clare Gardens, Riverside, from 12 – 4 pm run by Orchard Cardiff, Friends of Clare Gardens and the Riverside Community Market Association. Cardiff will be taken over by 15,000 runners on Sunday morning as city dwellers and visitors hit the tarmac for the 2010 Cardiff Half Marathon . I'll also be taking part in the race after months of gruelling training – sponsor me here and make sure you give us a cheer as we pass by (see this map to find out where to stand as a spectator). Next week look out for big announcements on Wednesday 20 October following the government's public spending review. Cardiff council will meet for a full council meeting on Thursday 21 October. Swn Festival also starts next week running for three days from Thursday and there will be a special Swn-themed Ignite Cardiff on the Friday 22 October. See you in a week!
