Lauren Luke's luscious lip gloss
Burberry Lip Glow in Brick Red, £18, harrods.com . Lauren says: A gorgeous rich brick red shade. A glossy cream with no shimmer, it applies smoothly and it lasts. Pleasant scent, too. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Bobbi Brown Shimmer Lip Gloss, £14. Lauren says: The mini size is perfect for travel; a rich colour that isn’t too sheer and is also non-sticky. Lasts so you don’t need to constantly reapply. ★ ★ ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Estée Lauder Pure Color Gloss in Mod Poppy, £15. Lauren says: The scent is great but I’m not too keen on the colour – but it does have a bluish tint that makes teeth look whiter. If you prefer sheer glosses, this is for you. ★ ★ ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Max Factor Max Effect Gloss in Rubylicious, £4.99, available nationwide. Lauren says: A gorgeous red – like Dorothy’s ruby slippers – and looks great blended in for that “I’ve just been eating strawberries” look. But a rather sickly taste and smell. ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Laura Mercier Lip Glacé in Brownberry, £16, Selfridges . Lauren says: Great colour and a cream formula that gives perfect block colour with no shimmer. Also smells divine. I’d recommend this to anyone. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian Dior Addict Ultra Gloss in Glow 247, £19.50. Lauren says: Love the cute tube and small brush applicator. The colour is beautiful – an every day shade for lips, with minimal stickiness. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Photograph: Sara Morris for the Guardian
